Axion Now 2025 Invitational Series
The Axion Now Invitational Series is the premier UK competitive Magic: The Gathering competition.
The series consists of four MEGA Modern tournaments each taking place at our "The Gathering" events throughout 2025. Players who compete at these events fight for their chance to qualify for the Axion Now Invitational which will take place on the 6th December at Gemini Games in Huddersfield.
The Invitational is a 48 player invite-only free to enter tournament where players will compete in 6 rounds of Modern cutting to a Top 8, with the winner taking home a Pro Tour 2026 invite, a fabulous top prize, a trophy, and will be crowned our 2025 Invitational Series Champion.
How To Qualify
Players can earn their spot at the Invitational at the MEGA Modern events taking place around the country in 2025. Finishing in a Top 8 position will grant you an invite to the 2025 Invitational.
Players who finished in the Top 8 of our 2024 Invitational automatically qualify for the 2025 Invitational.
The final 8 Invitational slots will be awarded to the players who have not qualified by means of a Top 8 finish, and have the highest accumulated Swiss scores on the leader board after all four MEGA Modern events of 2025 have been played.
If more than 8 players are tied for cumulative points the tiebreakers are as follows:
1st tiebreaker - lowest cumulative Swiss position (three best finishes will be counted, those with fewer than three appearances will be assigned 150th place in those events)
2nd tiebreaker - single elimination playoff round to be held at Dark Sphere, London following the conclusion of The Gathering Swiss rounds
