An Update on the MEGA Modern and The Gathering

Many of you have been asking about the MEGA Modern and The Gathering Series, and the following is an update on our plans for 2026 and beyond.

Over the years, MEGA Modern and The Gathering have been a huge part of who we are, and we’re genuinely grateful to everyone who’s supported them. With the competitive landscape changing and costs rising, we’ve taken time to rethink how Axion Now events can thrive going forward. Although these events won’t return in their usual form in 2026, they remain an important part of our identity, and we’re committed to building a strong, sustainable future for competitive Magic.

Looking ahead, we’re exploring new ways to deliver fun, accessible, high‑quality TCG experiences across the UK. Indeed we have just set up a brand new company Axion Now Events Ltd, and over the coming months, we’ll be chatting with players, local games stores, publishers and other partners to gather feedback as we shape what comes next; guided, as always, by community, great gameplay, and a shared love of the hobby.
