What Is CommandFest?

If you’re ready to meet new people who share your love for Magic: The Gathering, you may be considering attending a live face-to-face event. What to expect at CommandFest

There are various parts of CommandFest that you can enjoy including:

 

  • The main event – This is a large-scale tournament, with multiple formats. Whether you’re playing or spectating, it can be a real crowd draw.


  • On demand events - You can sign up for smaller, more casual Commander format games during the weekend.


  • Enjoy the art - Displays of MTG artwork can be found at CommandFest. You’ll also be able to meet some of the artists and get your cards signed.


  • Dress up - Often, you’ll find some of the most creative outfits here, where players show off their creative side.


  • Shop till you drop - There will be plenty of booths at which you can browse and buy a wide variety of accessories and merchandise.


What to bring to CommandFest?

If you’ve booked your transport, got your ticket and are ready to depart, make sure you’ve got everything you need to enjoy the experience:

 

  • Your decks - While you will need at least one Commander deck to participate, if you want to play different formats it might be worth bringing a few extra decks. Some formats require a specific type of deck, so get creative and make something new!

 

  • Extra supplies – Life counters, dice and tokens will also be required if you want to play the game rather than just be a spectator.

 

  • Your schedule – There will be plenty of different events and activities on offer. Plan your day carefully and create a schedule so that you can make sure you don’t miss out on something you want to experience.

 

  • A Smile – CommandFest is all about connecting with new people and building friendships. Be ready to make new friends, and you’re sure to come away with something that lasts much longer than the weekend you attend.
